The "Messy" Winner is....

Thanks to all who entered my messiest room contest. I knew it was going to be a hard decision when I started getting pictures the same day I posted the contest. So I printed out the Top Ten (I figure if that works for David Letterman why couldn't it work for me) placed them in a hat..actually it was an empty camera bag under my desk, and drew one out.

Congrats to Kris B, check out her messy closet! I wonder if the Peace word above her is subliminal?

You have to be very secure in "your mess" to let others see that we all are not June Cleaver. Again, my thanks go out to those who submitted. Don't give up I have a LOVELY contest coming up in February so be sure and check back!

A "Messy" First Contest

We all know how life gets in the way of everyday "meant to's", i.e the phone call, the book read to your little one, organizing your photos, laundry, dishes, etc... So here's my first contest. Show me how much everyday life has interfered with your house cleaning. Submit a picture of your messiest room (it can be any room, or even the garage) just make sure it is a complete wreck! You MUST be in the picture (to make sure a random Internet picture is not submitted). I know that this contest doesn't apply to some people (Christine O., Jennifer S., Cathy C., Keri D.) but don't worry, there will be future contests that will apply to you "Neat Freaks"! The entrant with the messiest room/area will receive a free sitting (a value of $150.00). All entries must be received by January 26, 2008, so if you have a messy room, you can use this contest as an excuse to let it get a little messier before the contest deadline.

Send your entry sized no larger than 660 pixels to molly@mollyboydphoto.com.

Fine print rules:
If you are outside of Travis County travel fees will apply. Any images submitted must be taken on or after January 19, 2008. Submissions must be the sole property of entrant and entrant must have all rights to reproduce and distribute the photo submitted. Molly Boyd Photography will have the right to post any and all images submitted.

Good Luck!

Better than winning the Lottery!

I typically do not post personal things on this blog; however, this is so big that I want everyone to know what has happened. Not only did Austin's first Taco Bueno open at 9:55 am January 15, but I was the first customer. With months of waiting, while watching it being built, and years of positive thinking (that Austin would get one) it has finally happened. It will truly go down in my memory bank as one of many happiest moments. I have always said it is the little things in life. I know it sounds over the top but only other "Bueno Heads" will understand. As a reward of being the first customer, not only did I receive my order for free, but I received one of the trademark artwork prints that are displayed at all Taco Bueno's. I feel very privileged to be the only customer to receive this print and will hang it my house with pride. Everyone was very friendly and the service was well, BUENO. What more can you ask for? Thanks to Kim and Kelly who joined me. Thanks to everyone at Bueno; Frank, Bill, Sam and all the Bueno staff. Although Shannon could not be there, he was there in spirit. Not to worry though, we have many more trips and happy times at Bueno to come. Here are a few pictures of the joyous occasion.

First Baby of 2008

What a GREAT way to start out in '08. My first shoot of the year, a newborn. Mr. "S" is only 3 days old here. We had a wonderful session, and I must say Mom and Dad were very patient with both of us!! I look forward to photographing him in the many milestones to come. I know they are going to be wonderful parents. Here is the Beauty of God's Grace that I captured that day.
